    Diana Plus arrived yesterday

    Diana+ kit

My Diana+ camera arrived yesterday. I haven't had time to run a roll through it yet, but I will try to do that this weekend. It comes with a book of images (hardbound), a small instruction pamphlet, and a couple of plastic inserts. Without the inserts, it shoots 6x6 negs like the Holga. One insert crops the neg down to 4.2x4.2cm, like the original Diana camera. The 2nd mask is for panoramas. The mask allows you to shoot panoramas by allowing a little overlap with each frame. Attached to one of the neck-strap lugs is a little plastic insert (on the left of the camera in my photo), which is for holding the shutter open for long exposures.

It's a very nice little camera, that looks and feels like a Diana camera original. I plan to compare it to it's inspiration, the original Diana camera, and also to the camera it is closer in comparison to, the Holga camera.

i just got a Diana + and just only started some snapshots. i mistakenly inserted the 4.6 frames which i guess is for panaromic shots. but im taking normal shots. is this ok?

also, i notice that when i wind to the next number after each shot, the number moves on its own. eg: wind to number 2 (in the middle of the screen) after 1st shot. after a few hours the number 2 is on the right side onwards.
how is it winding on its own?
(very slowly that is, but is this normal?) and will my shots be affected?

    Hi Jen,

If you are using the panoramic or smaller frames, it's okay as long as you set the film counter to 16. If it's set to 12, the frames will overlap a lot (they over lap a little with the panoramic mask)
