Thrift Store Find: Ansco 1045 35mm Camera
Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 10:43AM
I found this Ansco 1045 35mm camera at my local Goodwill store for $2.
It is a simple 35mm camera with 1 shutter setting, 2 apertures, a fixed focus 38mm/f5.6 lens, built-in flash. I am loading an expired roll of Fujicolor SuperHQ to test it out.

Very nice camera with unique size!!
To me - it's a camera with an Ansco name, but...the original made some good little 35mm's 20-30 years when production was still up in Japan. Maybe then by Chinon or Cosina.
I bought an Ansco 110 from the FourCornerStore this year - but now can't find a local lab to process the film!
what camera did you use to take a picture of the camera? loll
I found one almost exactly the same at my goodwill (it's a 1040EF) and was just searching for what film goes best in it. Do average stores process this (walmart, target, etc)? And is the film for it easy to find?
I'm in to digital photography and 3D design, and I wanted to see if it is a valuable camera before I use it on a 3D piece that I'm working on.
