AViVA - Lo-Fi SLR
Friday, May 20, 2011 at 8:20AM
I saw this plasticky SLR at my local camera store. A real SLR with a 40mm f/2.8 fixed lens, which has markings that say "Great Wall", perhaps referring to the grandaddy of all toy cameras, the maker of the original Diana camera? It costs about $45. Has anyone tried one of these yet? I looked on Flickr, but there aren't any images taken with this camera. If you've sighted one of these in the wild, let me know.

I havent seen this AViVAI logo before... very funny, maybe they use this name on foreign market. I had one PF-1 before. It was really cheap (around 10 usd) but produces surprisingly good pictures.
here's a few shots by Mijonju, an impressive photographer with a HUGE collection of new and old cameras. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mijonju/sets/72157624310888148/
"Aviva" spelled backwards is "Aviva."
Great Wall does still exist but it no longer makes cameras. The full name of the company is Great Wall (Optical) Plastic Works Ltd..
